Instead of re-reading notes every time a topic comes up, I turned 5 builder-focused courses into 48 Claude skills. Each one activates on relevant keywords and injects course-grade context, only when needed. Zero system-prompt bloat.
Trigger-activated, not always-on.
Claude skills have trigger keywords in their metadata. When I mention "cold email" or "Retell voice agent," the relevant skill loads — otherwise the system prompt stays lean.
Keyword triggers
Each skill has a YAML trigger list. Claude scans every message and loads only what's relevant.
Source-grade content
Each skill is a distilled playbook — frameworks, templates, pricing guides, failure modes. Not a summary.
Quality-gated
Any skill where cons outweigh pros gets dropped. Source shortcuts get overridden with better approaches.
Portable
Every skill is Markdown + YAML frontmatter. Share between Claude Code, Cursor, or any SDK build.
